It’s almost the start of a New Year which in the Fitness Industry is known as “Selling Season”. You sell yourself on “New Year, New You” etc and big box gyms sell you on their discounted membership and quick fix bells and whistles. We like to call this time of year “Silly Season”. It’s not silly to take a step in the right direction health and fitness wise. It’s not silly to want to start fresh and make some self-improvements. It is silly to think it’s as easy as “they” make it out to be.

To steal a quote from Ben Bergeron, the ABC of the Globo-Gym model is Always Be Closing. They want to sell memberships. They want to sell as many memberships as possible. After that they really are indifferent if they ever see you step foot in the door again. In fact, it’s probably better for their bottom  line if you didn’t. Less wear and tear on the equipment. Less crowded. Less staff needed. If every single member decided to show up at once, they simply wouldn’t have enough room or equipment for everyone. They make the price just low enough that even if you aren’t going, you’re not overly concerned about cancelling as you may go again one day. It’s more hassle to cancel for the $9 to $15 coming out of your bank account.

Our ABC as a CrossFit Affiliate is Always Be Caring. Always Be Connecting. Always Be Communicating. We’re here to build relationships and ask you to put your trust in our Coaches and our Methodology and your improved health and wellness is a forgone conclusion. Show up 3 to 5 times a week, trust the process and we’ll have some fun, get fitter and make friendships along the way. Guaranteed. The fitness side works. It’s proven. Constantly varied, functional movements performed at an appropriate intensity for you will improve your overall health markers and better prepare you for the daily obstacles life throws at you than any other method. We want you in here. We want to help you reach your goals. We’ll coach you every step of the way.

The side of that that circles back to silly season is the cost involved. We are not the cheapest option out there. We know that. We don’t have any “Black Friday Sale”, “New Years’ Promos” or  “Boxing Week Blowouts”. We are confident in the methodology, our culture and community and most of all our overall product and we charge accordingly.  We want you to go out and try as many gym’s as possible, shop the competition. Find the right fit for you. We sell community. We sell our culture. We sell our coaching. We sell the CrossFit methodology. We sell results. We have one price and we’re so confident that we don’t have any contracts. Ever. If you try us out and don’t think it’s the right fit, just cancel. No penalty. No long drawn out process and no guilt.

We’re a family here. With common goals. Common interests and hopes. We want you to succeed in your fitness goals as much as you do and we want you to be smiling along the way. Our goal remains to offer an inclusive environment and quite simply be the best hour of your day. Lofty goals but we aim high and you should too.
